Job Title: Integrated Technology Services Technician
Emphasis: Technical Service
Education, Experience, and Licensure Requirements
- Associate's Degree or Technical Certification in Computer Systems or related field with 3 years experience. Comparable experience will be reviewed on an individual basis;
- CompTIA - A + Certified (Equivalent to or can be acquired within 12 months of hire); and
- Valid New Mexico Driver’s License.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Complex problem solving and troubleshooting skills, including organizational and project management skills;
- Highly effective communication skills, including verbal, written, electronic, email, text and cell phone;
- Interpersonal and collaborative skills necessary to support District departments, staff and vendors;
- Ability to meet deadlines and work on multiple projects;
- Knowledge of the following software applications types: Windows 10, Chrome OS, Microsoft Office, familiar with Microsoft imaging software (SCCM), email, antivirus, web apps and Active Directory policies and user accounts;
- Knowledge of computers and peripheral devices, software, networking, servers, telephony, Endpoint Protection and Audio Visual systems;
- Ability to work in both a team oriented and independent environment;
- Demonstrate the ability to learn new technology; and
- Experience with Remote Server Administration Tools (RSAT).
Essential Job Responsibilities
The ITS Technician will be responsible for tier 2 technical support for the District. The technician will work to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a dynamic environment. They will provide great customer service while working closely with staff and students.
Responsibilities include:
- Installs, configures, maintains, upgrades, troubleshoots and repairs District computers and peripherals, software, networks, servers, VOIP phones and audio/video systems;
- Tests and evaluates applicable integrated technology solutions;
- Re-images Windows computers using District provided tools;
- Repairs hardware/software issues with Chromebooks;
- Manages Chromebooks using Google Workspace for Education Tools;
- Procures computer and technology equipment and maintains ethical business practices with vendors as required by state-approved Code of Ethics and school board policies;
- Attends and/or conducts staff training meetings and participates on committees within areas of responsibility;
- Maintains professional relationships and works cooperatively with District staff;
- Maintains professional competence through individual and staff training, in-service educational activities and self-selected professional growth training;
- Professional dress reflecting health, safety, and district identification as established by Executive Director of Information Technology;
- Complies with state-approved New Mexico Administrative Code of Ethical Responsibility of the Education Profession and the RRPS Employee Standards of Conduct and upholds and enforces rules, administrative directives and regulations, school board policies, and local, state and federal regulations;
- Has constant access to confidential information and works with administration on management policies and investigations, therefore must respect and safeguard sensitive, confidential or privileged information; and
- Employee may be assigned other duties based on the needs of the District during the term of employment.

Final salary will be set based upon the minimum salary, education, and experience.
