Job Title:  Warehouse Technician

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalency;
  • Two (2) years’ experience in warehousing (preferred);
  • Must be proficient in MS Word & MS Excel;
  • Current New Mexico driver’s license with insurable driving record;
  • General knowledge of storeroom and inventory practices;
  • Ability to count and inspect a variety of stores and materials accurately and thoroughly;
  • Ability to maintain records;
  • Ability to operate forklift and common warehouse equipment;
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates; and
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and store all warehouse stock;
  • Pull supplies and parts from shelves and prepare them for delivery to schools and staff; 
  • Fill orders for supplies and equipment as approved;
  • Issue supplies, parts, and equipment as directed; 
  • Take periodic inventories as assigned;
  • Maintain the warehouse in a neat and orderly fashion;
  • Ensure that all paperwork and data entries are properly executed;
  • Load delivery trucks for disbursement of goods;
  • Perform deliveries and transfers of goods as required; 
  • Perform minor repairs on furniture and/or equipment; 
  • Performs specialized warehouse management and expediter responsibilities and duties requiring the highest degree of skill in the relevant specialized areas;
  • Perform related tasks as required;
  • Assist Warehouse Manager in assessing that maintenance equipment and vehicles are in good repair, safe, and operable;
  • Receives, performs, communicates, and closes out work orders as assigned;
  • Provides assistance and reports as necessary;
  • Complies with state-approved New Mexico Administrative Code of Ethical Responsibility of the Education Profession and the RRPS Employee Standards of Conduct and upholds and enforces rules, administrative directives and regulations, school board policies, and local, state and federal regulations;
  • Performs any other duties as assigned by the Warehouse Coordinator, Assistant Director of Warehouse, and/or Executive Director of Facilities; and 
  • Employee may be assigned other duties based on the needs of the District during the term of employment.

 

Duty Day and Work Hours: 245-day contract; 8 hours per day; on emergency call 24 hours a day, seven (7) days a week. Executive Director of Facilities or Assistant Director of Warehouse may assign additional work hours as may become necessary.
